Dwell
Intern to the stars Trevor ventured to the Dwell on Design Exhibition, and all he brought back were these stupid pictures.

So last week I took a little family trip to SF, we grabbed a JetBlue flight out of Long Beach. As we are settling in to our seats I spot this parked next to us. If you don’t know what it is I will share what I know. When you order a private jet from a manufacturer like Gulfstream it comes with many options from the company. One of those options is known as the “green primer”. What I have been told is this is a STRIPPED version of the plane with no interior furnishings, and yes no paint on the outside. A friend that worked for Gulfstream told me that these planes are delivered (flown) to the buyers, and the pilot takes the seat with him when he departs the plane. This takes “baller” to the whole next level, cause you just dropped how even many millions on a jet, now you get to have a custom interior done, paint job, electronics, the whole bit. The world of custom interiors on jets must be crazy. Ours will be matte black exterior with concrete floors inside.
Friend of 530 Jeremy Wirth from the great white North recently sent us over some pieces from his Rated Rookies line. Really nice stuff that is done right. It is always nice to see someone who has taken their time and done something right with an idea. It sounds like Jeremy is going to try and make his way to SoCal to be corrupted by Mexican Food and traffic, should be interesting considering with his French Accent.
Jeremy being from Montreal thought it would be nice to share some of his favorite foods with us. Turns out Smarties in Montreal are like M&Ms (maybe even better then) not the sour stale candy’s we get. I am going to be sending Jeremy a package with some samples of our favorite things, just trying to figure out the best way to send carne asada taco’s and menudo to Montreal.

While looking at video of the Triumvir x Attic Black party, I got a glimpse of our New Era on Mr Attic himself. Good looking out Jimmy, thank you. And thank you to Triumvir for the screen grab. We have a few of our Hall of Fame x 530 New Era’s available in our online store, including the Black on Black, and the White on Black pictured.
Made a run to L.A. to link up with Ben and Bobby at The Hundreds for a quick meeting and some lunch.

Tuesday night we checked out the mediabistro.com cocktail party at Social Hollywood. We had a good time chatting it up with other media professionals and look forward to attending future Media Bistro events.
Last night we had the opportunity to attend the group Y Action Sports Panel at Red Bull HQ in Santa Monica. This panel featured Don Brown, Per Welinder, Todd Roberts, and a few others. Good discussion, rad location. I only wish I would have gone through with my plan to sample every Red Bull product in one mixed drink. Next time.
Impressive entrance to Red Bull HQ. I wish we could have a Masonite entry to 20ft roll in.
