Our friends over at Rukru were nice enough to send over one of their pieces from the new line. This particular piece is one of our favorites, Support Local Trade. Supporting local trade is something we try to do on a daily basis, and why not advertise it on a shirt. As much as I would love to rock the “F@#K Corporate Media” shirt, I can’t. The entire Rukru line is pretty strong, you’re not going to find any bit-mapped search engine images here. These guys are actually using pen and ink hand skills here, and it shows in the graphics. Go have a look at their line, and grab a shirt. By doing so, you will be supporting local trade! Thanks again to Eric and the Rukru crew.
Finally we can let the cat out of the bag. For the past few months we have been working with our friends over at David&Goliath on a new Street Wear brand, Hamstar. Yes, that Hamstar. The journey has only begun, but its going to be a fun trip. Go take a look at the site, and grab something from their store.
So last week you saw David and Paul’s re-cap of E3. Erik and I went on Tuesday, and we got to see something they didn’t, LucasArts.
We got to see demos for new stuff they have coming out that is AMAZING. Their booth was great, super clean with great use of Barcelona chairs. And kudos to the guys for the black on black Star Wars allover print wallpaper inside the Old Republic demo room.
The Star Wars: Old Republic demo being attacked by the crew from Darth Hater.
Our friend Brooks Brown from LucasArts. You think you know a lot about Star Wars? Well Brooks knows more.
Our friend Kenta came by for a visit to show off his fancy car, drop off some tiny business cards, and talk about how ASR is a better show then E3. Kenta is continuing to work on his online magazine, Tokyo Drive. A good read for all things concerning parties we’ll never get into, cars we’ll never drive, and Japanese fashion moguls we’ll never meet. Always good to meet up with Kenta and here about his newest escapades.
Kenta telling me about how great this 370Z is to drive in the canyons.
Every time we see Kenta he is driving some rad car (remember that time he was doing 140 down the 405 in the IS-F on an empty tank?). This visit Kenta is driving the 370Z Nismo, he says it’s an awesome drive. We’ll take his word for it.
SERVICES:Last week we flew up to San Francisco for a meeting at Lucas Arts, we could tell you why were there, but we would have to kill you. The host of our meeting was kind enough to give us a tour of the building(s). We saw MANY things that you would not believe, and yes we even saw the real _ _ _ _ !
We were able to grab a few shots before we went into security lock down.
Walking up to the main lobby we were not sure if we were at the right place, this confirmed that we were:
Sorry for the crappy iPhone picture.
Once in the main lobby, we were greeted by:
We concluded our visit by having a drink on the Death Star before flying back to the LBC. Thanks to hosts for the day, we look forward to doing it again.
