ARMADA SKIS

Design and Development

Armada Skis is the future of skiing, and they needed a website which reflects that unique position. 530medialab produced a highly dynamic website for Armada Skis, using current web development technologies involving jQuery, AJAX, CSS3, and HTML5. We also developed some key features using a proprietary engine built just for Armada Skis. These include the Ski Finder, which helps you select the right skis for your needs; and the Kit Builder, which is designed so you can mix and match all of Armada’s great gear easily, creating your own custom outfit.

LRG

Design and Development

Expanding at the rate that LRG have managed to, means your website needs to evolve constantly too. LRG needed to improve on the functionality of their previous website, to streamline a variety of social media and multimedia interactivity, and to add features on all their latest projects. 530medialab capitalized on the rich variety of content by finding the best way to display everything in a fresh, new way for LRG's avid fans. We developed a one-stop shop which displays a wide array of content beautifully, and importantly, elevates brand awareness.

KING OF THE ROCK

REDBULL

Design and Development

Red Bull needed a digital partner for their Red Bull King of the Rock 2011 one-on-one basketball tournament. 530medialab developed a custom website and digital ad campaign for the project, which was featured on high-profile sports entertainment websites. We populated the website with content, updates on each of the qualifier events, player profiles, photo galleries, and an interactive guide to streetball tactics called the Drive The Lane. We produced a 50-page Program book for the World Finals, and the project culminated with setting up the live satellite feed for the event, and updating The Bracket in real time.

MAKE SOMETHING

NIKE SPORTSWEAR

Design and Development

Nike Sportswear wanted to bring the creativity of the Beautiful Losers documentary into an online environment. 530medialab created a website to showcase a video series that featured prominent artists leading creative workshops in their communities. Timed to coincide with the release of the documentary, the site serves as a vehicle for both outreach and awareness - fostering creative thinking for those outside the intimate events. The site is built around a series of animations inside the Nike CMS shell, providing a platform for video content and acting as a visual segue into the world of Beautiful Losers.

MOSLEY TRIBES

Design and Development

Continuing a four year relationship with Californian eyewear producer Mosley Tribes, this year, 530medialab focused their efforts on flexibility, and switched the site from Flash technology to a CMS. We worked closely with the client in order to provide a framework with strong internal structure, but still allowing the homepage to retain a slight feeling of controlled randomness.

THE HUNDREDS

Design and Development

When The Hundreds, one of the biggest names in streetwear, relaunched their sophisticated Public Label collection, they needed a new online destination to augment the revitalized project. They turned to 530medialab to design and develop a website which would broadcast the sub-label’s unique angle on men’s apparel with the same clean, sophisticated aesthetic the Public Label products embody. We developed custom e-commerce functionality tied in with a unique shop-able lookbook, to ensure that The Hundreds' customers can peruse the products in a fashion that compliments the brand and their excellent apparel.

ACG

NIKE SPORTSWEAR

Design and Development

530 was excited to work with Nike on raising brand awareness for the ACG line, specifically along the East Coast. While traditionally an "outdoor" label, Nike sought to bring its understanding of harsh conditions to the markets along the I-95 corridor. Utilizing excellent photos by Boogie, 530medialab were able to build a flash site that was both product-oriented, while also highlighting some of Nike's efforts to promote education and photography within local communities. Flash was used to show products as well as bring fluidity to the numerous galleries throughout the site.

VIRTUAL DECORATOR

ART.COM

Design and Development

Online art retailer Art.com needed a way for their clients to explore different options. 530medialab developed the Virtual Decorator app, an interactive feature which allows you to unleash your inner interior decorator by designing a room with your favorite Art.com artwork on the wall. You can customize the wall colors, and add in a variety of furniture and accessory options to the design. The app also allows you to share your interior decor design on Facebook and Twitter, email it to someone, or download it for future reference.

ID ROYAL

NIKE SPORTSWEAR

Design and Development

Nike's ID Royal re-energized the Sportswear market with the Nike ID application for designing custom shoes. 530medialab took initial creative and applied it to both in-store marketing, and online advertising. This unique combination allowed the market to interact with a live action event online. In-store locations hosted events allowing key tastemakers to design their own Nike shoes. The results were then presented to the public online, and the audience voted on a winner who would advance to the next round. 530 used the Nike ID engine to display results and a custom CMS to handle the vote-taking and winner's brackets.

Design and Development

MAHFIA.COM is an online multimedia magazine rooted in female action sports culture and lifestyle. The site provides a look into the lives of an influential and eclectic crew of girls, who are driven by relentless determination and hunger for creative progression. They needed to combine the many Mahfia media streams into one rich, dynamic hub. The new website 530medialab developed presents video, photos, blog posts, photo feeds, and social media, all visible at a glance from the home page. This involved the latest advances in HTML5, CSS3, working with Vimeo's API, and a dynamic Flickr implementation.

Design and Development

High-end leather footwear boutique CYDWOQ needed to improve the user experience on their website. There was a disconnect between the way the flagship store and the website were branded. Furthermore, the shopping cart was hard to navigate and left customers frustrated. 530medialab were able to provide this unique shoe maker with a fitting website - one that incorporated aspects of the boutique's signature branding into it, and one that vastly improved the user experience. The client saw a 400% increase in online sales in the first quarter after launching the new website.

REDBULL

Design and Development

Red Bull Mississippi Grind is a truly impressive project, centered around a river boat barge which was converted into a unique traveling skatepark. It hosted skateboarding contests while covering the 1,705 miles of river from St. Paul to New Orleans. 530medialab were tasked with providing this inspiring undertaking with a dedicated online presence. The website features information on how to get involved in the skate contest, content on the main events along the river, features on the riders involved, integrated Twitter and Instagram feeds, and graphics about the conceptualization and construction of this one-of-a-kind skatepark.

THE CORTEZ

NIKE SPORTSWEAR

Design and Development

Nike Sportswear's redesign of the classic Cortez shoe required both an introduction to the new model, as well as a history lesson on the original model. 530medialab was asked to create a site that not only stimulated product interest, but kept viewers engaged. The micro site features Flash animation, product image galleries, an exploration of the technology employed in the new model, and utilized Nike's video player to stream videos featuring prominent artists discussing how the Cortez fit into their culture.

RIVI JEANS

Design and Development

530medialab is a strong believer in the DIY attitude, and nobody embodies that spirit more than George Wilson's hand-crafted denim company Rivi. Working to introduce the brand while illustrating the history behind the label proved an easy task. More so when the client was able to supply a treasure trove of vintage photos, sketches and a vast knowledge of American woven selvedge to boot. The Flash site 530medialab developed provided a much-needed virtual extension to both the client's workshop, and to their strong roots in vintage American culture.
